Well hello there! My name is Dan Best. I'm married to my wonderful wife Mel, and am the father of three kids (ages 6, 4, and 1). As a young adult I thought I would become a theology professor, so I received my M.A. at McMaster University and even started a Ph.D. at the University of Toronto. But along the way I felt more called to ministry than teaching, so I am now a youth pastor at a church in Oakville, Ontario!

I'm very much a nerd, not in my intelligence but in the sense that I love learning about faith, following Jesus, and ministry. One of my favorite pastimes is going through the types of books, podcasts, and more that you find on this site. Not only do I like learning, but I also like sharing the resources that I come across. I feel something like a librarian, collecting resources that may be of help to people. And that is the motivation behind this site!

For those of you that are interested in my theological perspective, I would say that when it comes to the Apostles Creed I'm very orthodox. Although I wouldn't label myself "evangelical" (for various reasons), I grew up in an evangelical environment and was shaped by it. Jesus is my Lord and Savior and I love him.
